A cream lovers delight and a firm favourite always visited when in Newquay.

Just a gaze through the window of this bakery and tea shop makes your tummy rumble.

There are whole cakes available along with usual bakery fare on the ground floor where you can takeaway any delights that grab you or head up the stairs to the tea room seating area.

There are booths along with normal chairs and tables to sit at. If there are just two of you go for the tables by the window and you can watch people as they wander along the high street.

It will be hard though to take your eyes off the food. The cream teas are one of the best I have tasted and come with an old fashioned stainless steel pot of tea with accompanying milk jug.

Also recommended are the Cheesecakes. There is a full menu available so this is a place to fill up on savouries as well as sweet stuff.

  1. I visited Paulines Creamery while I was in cornwall on holiday in June, I got a piece of the fudge cake and when I tasted it I was actually a little dissapointed. The sponge cake was dense and dry, where as I thought it would be moist and light. The fudge icing was nice but missing something I can’t quite put my finger on.

  2. I’ve just got back from a week in newquay, while i was there i visited paulines just on the off chance of getting a birthday cake for a friend of mine. i got a large chocolate cake, and only had to wait a couple of minutes while they even wrote the birthday message on it for a couple of quid. everyone who ate the cake loved it, commenting on how moist and tasty it was. i would be hard pushed to think of a better cake that i’ve had for a good few years. Well done pauline’s, keep it up.

  3. Just spent Easter in Conwall, visited Paulines Creamery had a lovely Strawberry Turnover. Must say felt very welcome, excellent service. So many lovely cakes to choose from, also a wide menue including savory food. Keep it up.

  4. My boyfriend and I have visited Newquay several times in the last few years and always make time for a trip to Pauline’s. We always have to have a strawberry cream turnover which are fantastically large and taste amazing. We’ve also bought several slices of cheesecake and other cake to have after dinner later on and they too are always lovely.
    Excellent pasties too.
