Dutch Tea Shop anyone?

Had the following sent in to me at TTS Towers.

i know you are a uk based company, but i wonder if i can draw your attention and maybe a review of a wonderful engish tea room in holland?
It is called tea time, and is based in echten, drenthe, netherlands, and is now in its 17 year of trading. details can be found here http://www.teatime.nl/ and also here www.facebook.com/tea.time.18?fref=t it is in a beautiful setting, started by an englishman and a dutchman, they now provide high teas, cakes, scones, cream teas, english breakfast etc etc, and a huge range of teas, all served in the proper manner, with china pots, with a tea strainer. All the food is home made, most of the produce is imported from britain, the
bread, clotted cream, jams, crisps, sweets, and all manner of other delights. everything from the venue to the food to the service is of the highest standard, and i think, if possible, that they deserve a mention, for flying the flag so high in another country. and they are very popular with the dutch, with bookings regularly exceeding 200 a day. please have a look at their website and see what you think, and if at all possible, visit them, you will receive a very warm welcome, as everyone does.

Thanks Simon for sending the details my way.

  1. I fully agree with Simon. As an expat living in The Netherlands this is the best place in the country to enjoy a (high) tea and traditional English dishes.
I have visited this tea room for almost 15 years with friends and family from all over the world and I (we) have never been disappointed.
Each season they serve a “seasonal tea” and there are special teas for Valentine’s Day and Christmas.
So if you are in that part of the Netherlands, don’t miss out and plan a visit to Tea Time!
